Superintendent Chad Clanton

Chad Clanton is an original student of Dibble Public School.  He, like his brother, and mother, attended DPS for the duration of their public school career.  In 1993 Mr. Clanton was honored as the Valedictorian of his senior class.  Following High School, he attended the University of Oklahoma.  While at OU he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Science Education.  He continued his education at the University of Oklahoma, receiving his Master’s Degree in Education Administration, Curriculum, and Supervision in 2002. 

 

Chad has worked at three schools during his career.  His first job in education was at Seminole High School where he taught Chemistry and Bio-Chemistry.  He also coached football, baseball, and softball while at Seminole.  Following Seminole, Chad accepted a job at Deer Creek High School in Edmond.  Mr. Clanton’s primary teaching responsibilities while at Deer Creek was Physics and Advanced Placement Physics.  His coaching responsibilities included football and baseball.  He served as an assistant coach on the 2000 3A state championship football team.  During his tenure at Deer Creek he was promoted to Assistant Principal and ultimately Associate Principal. 

 

Following Deer Creek, Mr. Clanton accepted a High School Principal job at his alma-mater.  After serving as High School Principal, Chad accepted the job as School Superintendent.  He is married to Sarah (also a Dibble graduate).  He and Sarah have two children; Cole and Kaylei. (also Dibble students).
